A Prayer in Times of Waiting

Father in heaven,

You are more than a good God. You are my Heavenly Father who loves me more than I can comprehend. I place my trust in you and in your loving mercy. You created me and you know my heart and what is best for me even when I don’t, Lord.

I may not understand your ways, but I know your ways are perfect Lord. You are working all things in my life according to your will.

Help me to endure this season of pain and hardship knowing that your divine will is a perfection that can accomplish in me more than I could ever imagine.

There isn’t anything that I need to know or do other than trust in you – and know that the storms I am experiencing are meant to guide me into your loving arms where you are with me, just as Jesus was with his disciples in the boat.

Strengthen my heart Lord, and let me come into your loving arms with the certainty of knowing that you are waiting for me – to hold me and protect me in your loving embrace where I am safe and secure.

You love me Lord that much, that you would step into my life and into my unworthy humanity, not to break me, but to build me stronger in Faith than I could ever imagine.

You love me that much Lord, help me to see that this season of pain and suffering is a divine season of change that is a gift and a blessing, for I know I have a special place in your Kingdom Lord.

Yes you love me that much! and I am so thankful with all my heart. Your love for me is so great that you have chosen me, Lord.

Who am I to deserve such a beautiful gift and a blessing, that your mighty hand is at work in my life right now?

Like the compassionate caretaker of the vineyard, you prune my unfruitful branches and prepare me for a life filled with your love, and peace and glory that no worldly success will ever compare to. That love Lord is worth more than all the riches of this world.

I trust you Lord and I love you Lord – help me to see this time as a blessing and to know that beyond all doubt I will see your Goodness not only in the land of the living but in its unimaginable glory in the eternal life hearafter.

I will no longer worry or be afraid Lord, I place all of my worries and concerns in your loving arms to hold knowing that you will turn my suffering into singing, my sadness into joy and my pain into peace and praise for your Holy Name Lord.

Amen
